Stephanie Booco, MA, LPC, LAC, helps leaders turn complex, high-stakes initiatives into systems that work in the real world. Her experience spans public safety, healthcare, government, behavioral health, and global workforce operations.
Selected impact
Helped grow Fort Collins Police Services’ program from one clinician to five full-time clinicians working alongside assigned officers and a dedicated sergeant. Years after her departure, the program continues serving a community of approximately 170,000 people.
Co-wrote the successful U.S. Department of Justice grant supporting an independent University of Wyoming evaluation, with findings intended for peer-reviewed publication.
Partnered with Routt County Sheriff’s Office leadership to help build a co-response program from the ground up, translating the model to fit the distinct operational realities, resources, and needs of a rural community.
Coordinated more than a dozen cross-functional workstreams to build a service supporting hundreds of organizations through a network of more than 1,000 providers.
Designed the application and screening processes for critical incident response and first responder providers and created a CIR training completed by more than 500 clinicians and counting. The training is approved for continuing education credit through APA, NBCC, and NASW.
As an instructor through Louisiana State University’s National Center for Biomedical Research and Training, has taught de-escalation to hundreds of public-safety professionals and community members nationwide and contributed to course development.
